Work It Wednesdays!

Work It Wednesdays!

Happy Fall!  If you haven’t already now is the time to pack away your summer things and welcome back gorgeous sweaters, stylish boots and layers of luxurious material to take you through fall’s interesting weather changes.

Packing away your summer things is a great way to give yourself more room, narrow down your choices and see exactly what you have.  Before you are swayed by the retail call, take stock of what you have.  Here’s a great test for your fall wardrobe – make an effort to go shopping in your closet! If you repeatedly come across an item that just doesn’t make the cut it is telling you to let it go.  Keep a list of what you NEED, and be specific.  NEED means you don’t have at all, or what you have is beyond repair (these items should be gotten rid of immediately!).  These are items that make up your basic wardrobe and pull together looks for you.

Tip of the Day:  as much as we fall into routines because it’s easier for us, try to work your way througn ALL that you own.  Have a great collection of bags but use the same one each day because it’s already “packed to go”?  I have found the perfect solution in an organizer that stays packed and slips in and out of various bags giving me back great pieces of my wardrobe without the hassle. I use one I found at the Container Store that fits perfectly in all but my smallest of bags, Amazon.com has a selection of options as well.
